Rental Agreement
All storage unit rentals are governed by a separate written rental agreement between you and Storage of Madisonville. These Terms govern your use of this website only and do not supersede or replace any executed rental agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed rental agreement, the rental agreement shall control.
Payments & Fees
Rent is due on the date specified in your rental agreement. Late payments may result in late fees as outlined in your rental agreement. Storage of Madisonville reserves the right to deny access to your unit for non-payment of rent. Failure to pay rent may result in a lien being placed on the contents of your unit in accordance with applicable Kentucky self-storage lien laws.
Prohibited Storage
The following items may not be stored at our facility under any circumstances:
Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials. Perishable food items or living plants or animals. Illegal substances, contraband, or stolen property. Firearms, ammunition, or weapons, unless permitted by applicable law and disclosed in advance. Any items that emit odors, are toxic, or pose a risk to other tenants or staff.
Storage of prohibited items is a material breach of your rental agreement and may result in immediate termination of your rental and reporting to appropriate authorities.
Access & Security
Access to storage units is limited to authorized tenants and their designated representatives. Tenants are responsible for securing their own units with an appropriate lock. Storage of Madisonville provides security measures including gates, cameras, and lighting, but does not guarantee the absolute security of stored items. Tenants are encouraged to obtain insurance coverage for stored belongings.
Insurance
Storage of Madisonville does not provide insurance coverage for items stored at our facility. Tenants are strongly encouraged to obtain renter's insurance or a self-storage insurance policy to protect their belongings. Storage of Madisonville is not liable for loss, theft, damage, or destruction of stored items regardless of cause.
SMS Communication Terms
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS communications, you agree to receive text messages from Storage of Madisonville relating to your storage account, reservation confirmations, payment reminders, and other relevant communications.
